Base: The One Billion Transactions Collection is not intended to imitate Chris Biron's work, and will give it full proceeds

Base, an Ethereum two-layer network, posted on the X platform that it had no intention of imitating another artist's work when designing the One Billion Transactions commemorative collection on Zora, but did not cite the source. Base expressed its regret for this and will give all the proceeds to Chris Biron, while also improving the process to ensure that this does not happen again.
Following Base's announcement yesterday of the milestone of 1 billion transactions in a single day and the launch of a commemorative collection on Zora, artist Chris Biron said the collection was a remix of his earlier work and said it was ironic that his original work was cast on the Base chain, while the Base commemorative collection is actually a "pirated" work.
