U.S. financial giant Fidelity Investments on Thursday launched a pension plan that can directly invest in cryptocurrencies, opening up a new channel for investors to allocate digital assets. According to Fidelity's official website, the cryptocurrency IRA (Individual Retirement Account) product is open to all US citizens over the age of 18 and supports three digital assets: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) and Litecoin (LTC). All cryptocurrency assets will be hosted by Fidelity through cold wallets without management fees. Investors can choose from three account types: Roth IRA, Traditional IRA or Dump IRA.
