Former Bithumb CEO gets $3.50 million while in jail

Former Bithumb CEO Lee Sang-jun still received about 4.70 billion won (about $3.50 million) in compensation from the company while serving his sentence for taking bribes, including a $1.40 million bonus, a $1.50 million pension, and a $320,000 base salary. A Bithumb spokesperson said it contributed significantly to the company's professional operations. At the same time, wages in the South Korean crypto industry have soared.
