United Nations report: Illegal cryptocurrency mining becomes a "powerful tool" for transnational criminal gangs to launder money

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) reports that transnational criminal gangs in South East Asia are using illegal cryptocurrency mining, stablecoins, and the Telegram black market to rapidly expand global money laundering and fraud activities, involving billions of dollars and threatening global security.
