US prosecutors submitted a letter to a district judge on Tuesday recommending a sentence of 78 to 97 months, or about 6.5-8 years, for Avi Eisenberg, the Mango Markets attacker. Eisenberg previously claimed that his actions were legitimate trading strategies, but prosecutors believe he knew they were illegal. A sentencing hearing is scheduled for May 1. Previously, it was reported that Mango Markets, a Solana ecosystem DeFi platform, was hacked in October 2022, generating over $100 million in bad debts.
