Former Galaxy Research Vice President Christine Kim posted a summary of the 210th Ethereum Core Developer Consensus (ACDC) conference call, which focused on the initial proposal to replace the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) with the RISC-V architecture, as well as plans for subsequent improvements after the Ethereum upgrade. Although discussions on introducing the new architecture are still in the early stages, developers are actively evaluating its feasibility and potential impact. Developers have agreed on a format and naming convention for configuring EIP-7892 (Blob Parameter Hard Fork Only) on the Ethereum Execution Layer (EL), and are expected to revisit discussions on which version of EOF to include in the Fusaka upgrade during the Pectra test conference call. It has been tentatively agreed to prioritize EIP-7935 in Fusaka, and the new EIP included in this plan is designed to set a new, higher block gas cap for Ethereum.
