ChatGPT enters the e-commerce track

On April 29th, according to foreign media reports, OpenAI announced that users will soon be able to purchase products through ChatGPT. The launch of the shopping button for artificial intelligence search queries will be available to everyone, whether they are logged in users or not. It is reported that shoppers will not be able to checkout within ChatGPT, instead they will be redirected to the merchant's website to complete the transaction. Product recommendations shown to potential shoppers are based on ChatGPT's memory of user preferences, as well as product reviews pulled from across the web. A spokesperson for OpenAI said the company will not collect affiliate marketing revenue for purchases made through ChatGPT.
