TRON DAO: Investigating the X account breach, law enforcement has been contacted

TRON DAO posted on the X platform that its official account was hacked at 9:25 am Pacific time on May 2, 2025 (0:25 am Beijing time on May 3). The attacker posted posts with contract addresses, sent private messages, and followed unfamiliar accounts during the control period. The official stressed that users who never published contract addresses or actively sent private messages should be deleted immediately and regarded as malicious acts.
TRON DAO said that the incident originated from a social engineering attack on team members. Even if access was restored after the account was stolen, the attackers still tried to use the main account to post content for profit. The incident is currently under investigation, relevant information has been submitted to law enforcement agencies, and the accountability work is being advanced.
