Pakistani Prime Minister holds meeting to discuss tensions between Pakistan and India

On May 7, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif chaired a meeting of the National Security Council. The meeting will hear a briefing on the current tensions between Pakistan and India and discuss the future course of action. On the same day, the Chief Executive of the Pakistan-controlled Kashmir region, Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, chaired an emergency meeting to deploy emergency measures in response to the Indian attack. The meeting decided to establish a 24/7 emergency response center to coordinate the relief work in the administrative region, and give priority to ensuring the necessary relief facilities and supplies on the actual line of control, including health centers, food and medicine.
