American man sentenced to 30 years in prison for using cryptocurrency to fund ISIS

On May 9, according to TheBlock, a Virginia man MohammedAzharuddinChhipa sentenced to 30 years in prison for using cryptocurrency to raise funds for the Islamic State (ISIS).
The Justice Department said it raised more than 185,000 dollars through social media between 2019 and 2022, and converted the funds into cryptocurrency and transferred them to Turkey and eventually to ISIS members in Syria to support prison breaks, attack logistics and the lives of fighters.
