On May 15, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian presided over a regular press conference. Lin Jian introduced that in order to further facilitate personnel exchanges between China and foreign countries, China has decided to expand the scope of visa-free countries. From June 1, 2025 to May 31, 2026, the visa-free policy will be implemented on a trial basis for ordinary passport holders from Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru and Uruguay. Ordinary passport holders from the above five countries can enter China without a visa for business, tourism, visiting relatives and friends, exchange visits and transit for no more than 30 days. Lin Jian said that China will adhere to high-level opening up and introduce more measures to continuously improve the level of facilitation of personnel exchanges between China and foreign countries. We also welcome more foreign friends to take advantage of the visa-free and visa-facilitation policies to visit China and experience the colorful, enthusiastic and dynamic China.
