Headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, USA, Financial Institution Group Fifth Third Bancorp began working with cryptocurrency companies about five years ago, but did not make major investments until the regulatory environments became clearer, according to its chief strategy officer Ben Hoffman. After building a small base of crypto customers who use the bank's deposit accounts and payment capabilities, the agency is considering how to further expand its crypto business.
