The three major US stock indexes collectively closed down, with the Dow falling 1.91%, the Nasdaq falling 1.41%, the S & P 500 index falling 1.62%, large technology stocks generally falling, Tesla and Apple falling more than 2%, Microsoft, Amazon, and Nvidia falling more than 1%, and Google bucking the trend and rising nearly 3%.
