As President Trump hosted a dinner for his Meme anchor, "at least three events sponsored by congressional Democrats" took place on the 22nd, accusing him of "constituting corruption" in his involvement in crypto projects. Congressman Maxine Waters accused him of "shamelessly using the power of the White House to promote and profit from a range of crypto projects related to himself and his family" and announced that he would introduce a new bill to "completely block Trump's Meme coin and end his crypto corruption" that would bar the president, vice president, members of Congress and their families from "engaging in similar crypto crimes". Protesters will also gather on the night outside Trump National Golf Club, where the president entertained Meme investors, in what organisers of the America Is Not For Sale rally called a "blatant act of selling political influence to the highest bidder".
