A federal jury in the United States has found Braden Karony, chief executive of digital asset firm SafeMoon, guilty of all counts in a cryptocurrency fraud case that prosecutors say led to the misappropriation of millions of dollars in investor funds. After a 12-day trial by U.S. District Judge Eric R. Komitee for the Eastern District of New York, Mr. Karony was found guilty of conspiracy to commit securities fraud, wire fraud and money laundering. He faces up to 45 years in prison. The jury also ordered the forfeiture of proceeds from the sale of one residential property and another, totaling about $2 million.
