Stablecoin USDC issuer Circle recently froze two Solana wallet addresses associated with the LIBRA token team, involving about 58 million USDCs. According to Solscan data, the frozen addresses hold 44.59 million and 13.06 million USDCs respectively. The freeze stems from a legal dispute over the meme LIBRA incident. Argentine President Millet's market value soared to billions of dollars after its promotion in February, and then plummeted by 90%. He was accused of pulling shipments as a scam. Burwick law firm, which specializes in the crypto field, said the freeze was requested by a temporary restraining order it applied for, while Martin Romeo, the plaintiff in the Argentine lawsuit, said the freeze was initiated by the Argentine judiciary.
