Russian police have arrested a person suspected of involvement in a crypto mining scam involving 270 million rubles (about $3.20 million) and a total of 100 victims. A local resident reported to police in February that he had handed over an ASIC miner to a man who claimed to be running a "mining hotel", promising passive income. The 26-year-old suspect and two of his associates are accused of selling off the miner he received and pocketing funds used to buy other mining equipment.
