Coinbase has signed an office lease agreement with the Mission Rock development in San Francisco, marking the crypto exchange's return to the city after abandoning its headquarters model about three years ago. The move is based on a deal for Coinbase to secure a 150,000-square-foot space at 1090 Dr. Maya Angelou Lane, which accounts for more than half of the BuildingB on the waterfront being developed by Tishman Speyer and the San Francisco Giants. San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie welcomed Coinbase in a post on X Thursday afternoon, writing that San Francisco "is a place to build and grow." The space will be Coinbase's largest single office, Mayor Lurie said, citing a report in the San Francisco Standard.
