Trump criticized the Congressional Budget Office for deliberately lowering its economic growth projections

US President Donald Trump said on social media: "The Democrats have inspired and'controlled 'the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) to deliberately give us a very low growth rate of 1.8% for 10 years. How ridiculous and unpatriotic is that! They did the same thing to us in 2017, but we achieved twice as much growth as their projections. The information they have recently released is even more ridiculous and untenable. I predict that our economic growth will be 3, 4, or even 5 times what they intentionally'allocated' to us (1.8%). And, as long as we achieve the lowest expected 3% growth, we can offset our tax cuts (which won't cost us anything, actually!)."
