On May 30 local time, the San Francisco-based 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals rejected the Trump administration's request and refused to suspend a lower court ruling. The ruling barred the Trump administration from advancing plans for large-scale layoffs of federal employees and restructuring of government entities. This means that the Trump administration is currently unable to proceed with plans to cut tens of thousands of federal jobs and close numerous government entities and programs. (Jin Ten)
