Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht raises $1.80 million worth of Bitcoin from auction of items in prison

Ross Ulbricht, founder of the dark web trading platform "Silk Road", has raised about $1.80 million in bitcoin in an auction of prison items. The auction included paintings created by Ulbricht in prison, personal items and prison ID cards. Among them, the prison ID card sold for the highest bid of 11 BTC (about 1.10 million US dollars). Ulbricht said the auction was to start a new chapter in his life.
