Ministry of Commerce: China and the EU exchanged friendly and candid views on the brandy case

On June 7, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce said that Minister Wang Wentao and Commissioner Sefcovic had a friendly and candid exchange of views on the brandy case, and also briefed the French side on the relevant progress. At present, French enterprises and relevant associations have taken the initiative to submit price commitment applications to the Chinese side, and the Chinese investigation authority has reached an agreement with them on the core terms of the price commitment. < b > The Chinese side is reviewing the complete text of the price commitment. If the review is passed, it is planned to issue a final ruling announcement including the price commitment text before July 5. The Chinese side has fully demonstrated its sincerity in resolving trade differences between China and the EU through dialogue and consultation. It is also hoped that the European side will meet China halfway, properly resolve China's concerns, and create conditions for further expansion of cooperation between China and the EU.
