ChatGPT uses an average of about 0.34 watt-hours of electricity per query, which is equivalent to the power consumption of an oven in a little over a second, or a few minutes of an efficient light bulb. It also consumes about 0.000085 gallons of water, which is about one-fifteenth of a teaspoon of water.
