Sumitomo Mitsui Bank of Japan opens new business co-creation facility HOOPSLINK in Tokyo, focusing on Web3 and generative AI technologies

On July 4th, Sumitomo Mitsui Bank, a subsidiary of Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, announced the opening of a new business co-creation facility called "HOOPSLINK" at Shin-Marunouchi Building in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo. The facility aims to solve diverse and complex social problems through advanced technologies and promote Japan's economic growth. Sumitomo Mitsui Bank said that in the current environment, companies must use emerging technologies such as generative AI, Web3, and cyber security to address various social challenges. HOOPSLINK will hold seminars and workshops on cutting-edge technologies and advance projects such as stablecoin commercialization and augmented reality glasses applications.
