GMX announced that "changing the revenue distribution model to repurchase and distribute GMX" has passed a snapshot vote and started on-chain voting, which will close on August 5. The proposal proposes to change GMX's current revenue distribution model from "repurchase ETH and distribute ETH" to "repurchase GMX and distribute GMX".
