The Ukrainian parliament extends martial law until August 6

On April 16, Ukraine's parliament voted on Wednesday to extend martial law until August 6. A senior lawmaker said that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine is still continuing. The vast majority of the 357 deputies supported the extension, which allows the country to continue mobilizing the army and suspend the election cycle. One lawmaker voted against the bill.
