Crypto Trading-Supporting Investment Platform Public Completes $135 million D-2 Funding Round

Public, an investment platform, has raised $135 million in D-2 rounds through equity and debt financing, including $105 million in equity financing and $30 million in debt financing. Accel is the lead investor. The platform has raised more than $300 million to date. Public announced the launch of a cryptocurrency trading service in 2021, joining the digital currency battlefield to compete with Robinhood Markets and others. Previously, individual investors using the platform could only trade stocks and exchange-traded funds listed in the United States. Its target customers are young digital natives. The new funds are intended to be used to enhance its artificial intelligence capabilities.
