Stablecoin issuer Tether previously released its 2025 Quarter 1 results report, which pointed out that the company holds more than $120 billion of US Treasury bonds and makes a quarterly profit of more than $1 billion, but the data shows that Tether's cash reserves are only about 64 million US dollars, accounting for only 0.04% of its total assets, indicating that Tether holds very little cash. In addition, Tether has a "secured loan" of 8.80 billion US dollars. It is not clear whether Tether has other ways to quickly obtain liquid cash to manage redemptions.
